It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Oxford International College, the largest and oldest educational institution in the Uva Province, located in Badulla, Sri Lanka. This website offers a clear profile of Oxford International College for interested individuals, especially potential parents.
Originally established as Uva International School in 1992, it was renamed Richland International School in 1996, and finally became Oxford International College under new management in 2000. Since then, Mrs. Farzana Nazeer, the Administrative Director, has worked tirelessly to develop the college, focusing on quality education rooted in religious and moral principles, while preserving Sri Lankan culture. The vision has been to create an institute of academic excellence where students can realize their full potential.
Mrs. Nazeer’s vision led to the establishment of a well-equipped Science and Computer Laboratory, spacious classrooms, and a comprehensive library. With her recruitment of qualified teachers, we have been able to offer holistic education, helping students grow into well-rounded individuals. Alongside academic development, we provide a wide range of extracurricular activities, including sports, cultural, literary, and social events.
We are deeply grateful to Mrs. Anne Duff of Australia for her generous donation of books that significantly enhanced our library. We also owe our thanks to Mr. Stan Duff, former Chief Engineer of Road Construction, for his contribution to our music program by providing high-quality band instruments.
Our system of education spans from Lower Primary through to Upper School. Over the years, Oxford International College has become known as a progressive and innovative institution, especially in English education, while promoting values rooted in culture and tradition. Our dedicated academic and non-academic staff work together to maintain the high standards of education and the well-being of our students.
We take pride in our vibrant, diverse, and multicultural community, promoting mutual respect and tolerance. Our annual events, such as prize-giving, sports meets, concerts, and cultural celebrations, are a testament to our commitment to holistic development. The public exam results have consistently been 100%, and we aim to continue this standard in the years to come.
We encourage you to explore our website for information on our programs and activities. We remain committed to serving our students and their families and invite interested parents to reach out with any questions about the college and our offerings.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to a successful year ahead.
